Chap 4

Chapter 4
“The horses are going so fast! I’m going to fall off,” thinks Aisle to herself. They enter this place that looks like a graveyard with strange round rocks scattered all around. “Can you help me get down momma?” “Sure, here give me your hand.” “Anyone there?” My papa calls out. The rocks that were still before, start to shake like an earthquake and they all roll towards us. A gasp squeaks out of my mouth as the rocks spring to life! They are small, mossy sort of creatures and wear crystal necklaces, varying colors of blue, green, red and pink. An older looking rock thing comes up to us but is wearing yellow crystals. He groans a bit and then says, “Your majesty, born with the powers or cursed?” My papa startles me by saying in a worried tone, “born and they are getting stronger!” The old thing shuffles over to my momma, who gets down so he can get to Anna.
“You are lucky it was not her heart, the heart is not so easy to change, but the head can be persuaded.” “Do what you must,” my papa said. “I recommend we remove all magic, even memories of magic, to be safe. But don’t worry, I leave the fun!” He then put his hand over her head and took out sparkly images, then changed them and put them back in her head. “She’ll be okay,” he said. Worry spread through me, “but she won’t remember I have powers?” “It is for the best.” The old troll beckoned me over and said, “Listen to me, your powers will only grow. There is great beauty in it but also great danger!” I looked to my papa for comfort. “You must learn to control it; fear will be your enemy.” My papa tensed behind me, “No! We will protect her, she can learn to control it, I’m sure. Till then, lock the gates, reduce the staff, limit her contact with people, and keep her powers hidden from everyone, including Anna.” The next day the gates were locked, and my bed was moved into a different room. I will never forget the look on Anna’s face, as I disappeared into my new room.
