Chapter 1

     I had a mom and dad and two brothers. I live in Redding, Connecticut and I love it here. We own a tavern, it had two rooms, a big fireplace, ten tables that can fit five and we served all week and all three meals. We usually served stew, rolls and rum. We serve ham and potatoes on Christmas or Thanksgiving.

     We also own a one story house with three bedrooms, a kitchen and a parlor. Outside we had a barn with a cow, a hen, a pig and three horses. There is a brown horse, a gray horse and a black horse. I am proud to say that one of the horses is mine. Penny, the brown horse is the work horse. Silver, the gray horse pulls the carriage. Midnight is mine, she is black and has a white diamond on her forehead. She is the fastest horse I know.

     My father's name is James and he has brown hair. My mother's name is Martha and she has black hair. George is 16 and has brown hair. Benjamen (Ben) is 15 and also has brown hair. Me, my name is Elisabeth, but most people call me Lizzy. I have black hair just like my mother.

     When I was five my mother taught me how to sew and my father taught me how to sword fight. When I turned six George taught me how to ride. I really love to sew, I have sewn two dresses, four shirts and three skirts. Also I have this awesome sword called the storm blade, well that's what I call it anyway. It has a gold handle with a skull and two swords sticking out of it. The storm blade is two feet long and has a silver blade. I have practiced five whole years and am so good i can beat Ben if we were in a match.
